IoT Workshop:
From the Wires to the Web

Sunday, August 28th, 11am - 5pm

NextFab, 2025 Washington Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19146

The Internet of Things (IoT) has made it possible for our physical devices to connect with the web in ways that only a handful of futurists had foreseen. And now you can learn how to build your own devices that can do seemingly impossible things.

In this half-day workshop, you'll build a wifi-enabled Smart Light that reacts to internet data with color-changing LEDs. The device can transform data from the web into informative displays of colored light! But that's just the beginning. We'll show you how to create your own custom Web App, empowering you to take control of your Smart Light from any web browser - even your phone!

You'll make a cool IoT device
